What SetDigger is

SetDigger is a discovery service that indexes DJ sets published publicly on YouTube and presents them with tracklists and metadata. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

Content and ownership

All videos are hosted on and streamed from YouTube through its official embedded player; SetDigger does not host, store, or redistribute any video or audio. Rights to the performances and recordings belong to their respective artists, labels, and channel owners. Tracklist and metadata compiled by SetDigger are provided for informational and discovery purposes.

Database rights

The SetDigger catalogue — the setlists, tracklists, timestamps, track identifications, and the artist, festival and venue records that connect them — is a database assembled through substantial investment in obtaining, verifying and presenting its contents. That investment includes automated ingestion and extraction, audio identification, and ongoing correction and enrichment of individual entries.

SetDigger asserts the sui generis database right under Directive 96/9/EC and the national laws implementing it, in addition to any copyright subsisting in the selection, arrangement and presentation of the catalogue. This right arises automatically and requires no registration.

Accordingly, and without prior written permission, you may not:

• extract or re-utilise the whole or a substantial part of the catalogue, evaluated qualitatively or quantitatively;
• repeatedly and systematically extract or re-utilise insubstantial parts, where doing so conflicts with normal exploitation of the catalogue or unreasonably prejudices our legitimate interests;
• use the catalogue, in whole or in part, to build, populate, train or fine-tune a competing database, dataset, model or service.

Crawling, indexing and AI

Search engines and AI assistants are welcome here. Crawling and indexing SetDigger pages in order to link to, summarise, quote or cite them — with attribution and a link back — is expressly permitted, subject to robots.txt. That is what the site is for.

What is not permitted is bulk extraction of the catalogue itself, or its use as training data. Rights of text and data mining for the purpose of training or developing machine-learning models are expressly reserved under Article 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790. This reservation is also published in machine-readable form at /.well-known/tdmrep.json. Licensing enquiries are welcome — see Contact below.

Acceptable use

Use the site for personal, non-commercial discovery. Don't scrape, overload, or attempt to disrupt the service — this includes automated collection from our public API endpoints, and circumventing rate limits or caching — and don't use it in any way that violates YouTube's Terms of Service or applicable law.

Accuracy, completeness and timing

Tracklists are compiled automatically — from timestamps and comments published alongside a video, and from audio identification — and are corrected and enriched over time. A tracklist may therefore be incomplete, may name the wrong record, and may lag behind a set that has only just been posted. Some tracks are never identified at all. Track identifications are best-effort information for discovery, not an authoritative discography, and should not be relied on where accuracy matters commercially or legally.

If you subscribe to Premium, what you are paying for is when you see what we have identified — Premium members get new tracklists as soon as they exist, ahead of the free tier — and the other benefits described on the upgrade page. It is not a promise that every track in a set will be identified, or identified correctly.

Nothing in this section limits the rights you have as a consumer under applicable law, including your right to a service that matches how we have described it.

Takedowns

If you are a rights holder and believe content should not be surfaced here, contact us and we will review it promptly. Because videos are embedded from YouTube, removing a video at the source also removes it from SetDigger.

Premium subscriptions, refunds and cancellation

SetDigger Premium is an optional paid subscription. The core site — tracklists, search, artist, festival and venue pages, and saved sets — remains free to use without one.

Price and billing. The price shown at checkout is the total you pay, including any VAT. Payments are processed by Stripe; SetDigger never receives or stores your card details. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the rate you signed up on, until you cancel. Founding memberships keep their original rate for as long as the subscription remains active and uninterrupted.

Your right to cancel (EU/UK). If you are a consumer in the EU or UK you have a statutory right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days of purchase, without giving a reason. To withdraw, email hello@setdigger.com. Where you ask us to start the service immediately, you may be charged in proportion to what you used before withdrawing.

14-day money-back guarantee. Alongside that statutory right, we offer the same 14 days as a voluntary commercial guarantee to every customer, wherever you live — so a buyer outside the EU and UK, who has no statutory withdrawal right, gets the same deal. Ask within 14 days of your first payment for a subscription and we will refund that payment in full, no reason needed. Email hello@setdigger.com and we will process it through Stripe. The guarantee applies once, to that first payment; later renewals are not covered by it, so cancel before a renewal date if you do not want to be charged again. This guarantee does not limit your statutory rights.

Cancelling later. You can cancel at any time — email hello@setdigger.com and we will cancel it for you, no reason needed. Self-serve cancellation from your account settings is being built. Access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, and the subscription is not renewed after that. We do not pro-rate refunds for cancellations made after the 14-day guarantee window.

Features still in development. Some Premium benefits are described on the upgrade page as “in build” — designed and being written, but not yet live. We do not promise a date for any of them. If a feature you subscribed for does not arrive in a timeframe you are happy with, the guarantee above and your right to cancel are available to you, in addition to your statutory rights.

Changes to pricing. We may change subscription prices for future billing periods. We will tell you before a change affects you, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

Changes

We may update these terms as the site evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
