Armin van Buuren

Armin van Buuren, born in Leiden, Netherlands in 1976, is a Dutch DJ and record producer whose career has left a significant mark on the electronic music landscape. Beginning his musical journey at age 14 with house music, van Buuren later gravitated towards trance, a genre he would come to define with his signature uplifting and progressive sound. His early releases such as "Blue Fear," "Touch Me," and "Communication" quickly established his reputation, alongside a consistent stream of influential remixes. Throughout his career, van Buuren has been a prominent figure, notably ranked #1 in DJ Mag's Top 100 poll a record five times, in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2012. While pursuing his passion, he also put his law degree on hold, eventually graduating in 2003. As the founder of the Armada Music record label, he has been instrumental in releasing a wide spectrum of electronic music, encompassing genres from uplifting trance to electro house and beyond. His dedication to the trance sound and his prolific output have cemented his status as a respected and enduring artist in electronic dance music.
