Mathame

Mathame is an Italian techno duo comprised of brothers Amedeo and Matteo Giovanelli. Their musical journey began in northern Italy, influenced by their parents' "Radio Taxi," a rock-focused radio station from the 1980s. The brothers officially launched their collaborative project in 2013, developing their distinct sonic identity from a secluded environment on the slopes of Mount Etna, Europe's most active volcano. This unique background is often reflected in their immersive and atmospheric techno soundscapes, characterized by driving rhythms, evocative melodies, and a keen sense of dramatic tension. Mathame has gained recognition for their powerful productions and compelling DJ sets, establishing a presence within the electronic music scene. Their releases have found homes on notable labels such as Afterlife and Tomorrowland Music, contributing to their growing reputation.
