Sub Focus

Sub Focus, born Nick Douwma in Guildford, GB in 1982, is a respected English DJ and producer renowned for his contributions to drum and bass, dubstep, and electro house. His career gained significant momentum when his demo CD reached Andy C, the head of RAM Records. This led to his initial release, "Down The Drain," on RAM's sister label Frequency Recordings in 2003. His subsequent 12" on RAM Records, "X-Ray," became a major drum & bass track in 2005, solidifying his presence in the scene. Further recognition came with a remix of The Prodigy's iconic "Smack My Bitch Up." Sub Focus's self-titled debut album arrived in 2009, followed by his second full-length album, *Torus*, in the Fall of 2013. Throughout his career, he has released music on influential labels such as RAM Records and OWSLA, consistently delivering tracks that blend energetic rhythms with intricate sound design, making him a significant artist within the electronic music landscape.
