Swedish House Mafia, the iconic electronic music supergroup hailing from Sweden, is comprised of DJs and producers Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Steve Angello. Initially forming around 2003 with a brief involvement from Eric Prydz, the trio officially coalesced in late 2008. Their early work, such as the 2009 release "Leave The World Behind," laid the groundwork for their signature sound, characterized by uplifting progressive house melodies, anthemic builds, and driving electro house rhythms. Their first official single, "One," arrived in 2010, quickly establishing Swedish House Mafia as a dominant force in the global EDM scene. Throughout their initial run, they released a string of highly successful tracks and performances, solidifying their reputation for electrifying live sets. The group announced their split in June 2012, concluding their "One Last Tour" at Ultra Miami in March 2013. However, Swedish House Mafia made a triumphant return to the stage at Ultra Music Festival in March 2018, and reaffirmed their reunion with the 2021 single “It Gets Better,” signaling a new chapter for the celebrated Swedish act. Their music, often released through labels like Republic Records and EMI Records Ltd., has been instrumental in shaping the sound of modern dance music.
